The food is ok , but is not the reason I like to go to Guanabanas. With its Key West style vibe, ambiance is hard to beat. You are outside, with tiki like coverings and tropical plants and plams all over. Best place to take guests from out of state looking for a real Florida dining experience. My recent visit though was to listen to some live music and it did not disappoint. We sat near the stage, had some nachos and chicken wings with our beverages and just enjoyed the band (StoneyFools) . Our server was terrific and all in all it was a great night.

My friends and I came out for an island- themed dinner off the waterway and to enjoy some live music. The valets, Chris and Steevens, were super nice when we first got there and made us feel welcome before we even made it to the hostess stand. We loved the vibe and decor. Kat, our hostess, was sweet and got us seated quickly. While we were waiting to be seated, we ran into the gorgeous Jaina Brady from @feelgoodswag. Of course she was dressed adorably in her own fashion creation (see included pic). The John Patterson band was playing for a short time while we were there and sounded great. We would love to have heard more. Our server, Rebecca, was very sweet and was well versed on the menu and daily specials. Two of us ordered the Keylimetini. Yummy! I ordered the Mexican street corn flatbread as an appetizer. It was tasty and made a great shareable app. The fish of the day was grouper, snapper, pompano and tripletail. For my entree, I ordered the potato crunch snapper with Mac 'n cheese and black beans and rice. It was all delicious, and the Mac 'n cheese was al dente. Just the way I like it. My friends ordered the Cuban sandwich, Tropical mango salad, Cobb salad with blackened shrimp, island chopped salad and mahi sandwich. Everything was amazing, but my friend did say that her mahi was a little dry. For dessert we shared the cinnamon churros with Dulce de Leche and apple pie al a mode. They were both good, but it was the first churros for the win. I would have loved a chocolate dip for them as well. High quality food that was not overpriced! Yes, I left with a food baby.

When I visit from Cleveland, I always make sure to stop at Guanabanas! It's my favorite restaurant in Jupiter. Ambiance is always BEAUTIFUL! Valet out front which makes getting in and out of the restaurant quick and efficient. I wasn't in love with the cocktails but they were okay. I totally recommend the Bacon Mango Avocado salad. I think about this salad often when I'm in Ohio and wish I could have it there lol - it's one of the best salads I've ever had. This restaurant perfectly encapsulates the meaning of paradise.

Great beach type ambiance, food was good, prices were reasonable and service at hightop was good!

Friends recommended this place so we drove an hour to Jupiter. The setting and vibe were 5 stars. The food 3 stars at best. My wife ordered the Cuban sandwich and I ordered the Tequila Lime Atlantic Shrimp. The Cuban was too dry probably over cooked. My side Mac and cheese was so dry I used the sauce from the shrimp to moisten it up. My wife said the key lime pie was good but not as good as Lufts. Service was ok. Again a beautiful setting but the food made it not worth the drive.

Guanabanas was fun. I had never been to this bar in the 12 years that I have lived in Palm Beach County, and in the 10 years I have lived in the West Palm area, where to go to this driving is not a haul. The food is good, the tropical drinks are decent, and the river views are scenic. The sweet and spicy smoked wings were pretty good for a starter, while I enjoyed the meatloaf melt, which wasn't too heavy and very satisfying. The tropical drinks are what you expect from most tropical-themed bars, with the Guanabanas No. 5 being a solid, heavy-rum-based cocktail that was fruity, sweet, and with lots of booze. The river views are wicked scenic and serene as you enjoy the food and drinks. Guanabanas is a lovely way to spend an afternoon, and the service is prompt and steady.

Monday nights are really quiet here and it's margarita Monday with $5 margaritas all evening. I started with a coconut Mojito and my husband enjoyed their version of a Long Island ice tea, The juice of the gods. Happy hour appetizers are 25% off until 6 o'clock, but only at the bar and high tops It's so pretty sitting along the water under the giant tiki hut watching the boats glide by.. Valet parking makes it so easy. We enjoyed our loaded tater tot and alligator bite appetizers. Although they seemed a lot smaller than last time. Friends ordered the fish dip, which wasn't much of a dip, but had lots of chips and vegetables. For an entrée four of us shared two grouper dinners with corn pudding and Brussel sprouts. Our meal was delicious. Then we shared a chocolate cake and Keylime pie, which were also wonderful. We left two credit cards and our check was split in half. I looked at my phone and saw the charge which seemed almost double what we expected. Before we had a chance, our waitress came back, apologized for the mistake, and took our bills. She came back twice with two different sets of receipts . She said the bill was adjusted, but it still looked very confusing. Jen, the manager came over and assured us that the mistake would be corrected.
